As a runner and cyclist I've been plagued with a handful of injuries over the last decade. Surgery, medication and physical therapy were usually my only options. Recently my body started to feel the wear & tear after transitioning from endurance sports to weight lifting and sprinting. Recovery turnaround became an imperative, and working with Michael made this transition physically possible for me. His extensive knowledge of muscle tissue and body mechanics is abundantly clear in his keen attention to detail during sessions. He asks all the right questions, actively listens and suggests stretching or exercises I can work on at home in between sessions. Until this year, I almost never foam rolled. I started running more seriously about 5 years ago when I began training for half marathons. Stretching was rarely a part of my regimen back then, so I used to just grind through the pain.
